Kumamoto

I introduce food in Kumamoto.
Basashi is typical food in Kumamoto. It is eaten raw, because it has not strong aroma.
People of Kumamoto eat it with soy of garlic. It contains a lot of iron and protein. In Kumamoto, the food is available on supermarket.
In addition, Kumamoto is famous for water is delicious because it is purveying by ground water.
Karashi Renkon is made from Renkon. The recipe is that stuff Renkon hole with mustard.
After that, deep-fry them. Ikinari Dango is staple dissert in Kumamoto. It wraps up bean paste and sweet potato in rice dumpling, and is steamed. It owes the name to Kumamoto dialect. In Kumamoto, when they say “Ikinari”, it means “soon” in English.Since they could cook it soon for arrival of unexpected guests, it was named Ikinari Dango.
And, speaking of gain popularity among young people, it is Kumamoto Ramen.
Kumamoto has a lot of Ramen shop. It is popular shop that Kiyomasa Ramen, Kokutei, Ajisen Ramen, Keika Ramen. Kumamoto Ramen is characterized by pork bone broth and garlic, and Tyubuto noodle. But, the taste is different from each shop, so I recommend going a lot of shops!

If you don’t like sweet food, I recommend Taipiien. It is Chinese food which is Kumamoto-born. In a simple term, it is bean-starch vermicelli soup. Since it becomes a part of life in Kumamoto, It is served in school lunches. Nowadays, the food can buy in super market.
